RTC is dedicated to….
RTC is dedicated to….
- Creating bold, socially and politically motivated work. RTC’s work validates the voice and perspective of the young artist by surrounding them with the education and tools necessary to assist in their quest to improve the quality of life in their local and global communities by emphasizing the importance of collaboration, while possessing social and cultural understanding and empathy. Be it in the classroom, rehearsal room or on the stage, we explore, with our community, the social and political relevance in every story that we tell through monologue, scene, song or full-scale production.
- Promoting the marriage of diverse artists with diverse audiences. With each production, class, camp, workshop and outreach, RTC offers both audience and young artists an experience that encourages the building of a more diverse, enriching and inclusive community. We revitalize the voice of the underdog, encouraging the unheard child , motivating the actor who feels unseen, telling the stories that go untold and reinventing the ways of telling the stories we know and love. RTC is here to redesign the possibilities of what can happen on a stage.
- Empowering the imaginations of children, teens and their families. Through our programs, we foster self-esteem, self-discovery and self-respect by emphasizing discipline, integrity, team-building, and the importance of good work ethic in a positive and creative environment.
- Extending the reach of arts education and introducing a more diverse theatrical repertoire reflective of South Florida’s diverse community. RTC will bridge art and scholarship by pairing full-scale productions with community talkbacks and fostering an active collaboration with teachers, students and professors in the Tri-County area and beyond.
We are organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
We do not discriminate nor tolerate discrimination of individuals on the basis of race, color, national and ethic origin, gender or orientation.

Vision and Commitment
Renegade Theatre Company will be recognized as one of South Florida’s great cultural treasures and one of the leading Youth Theatre companies in the Tri-County area. We will draw influences from some of the best designers, technicians, arts administrators and arts organizations in the area and develop a program that is fresh, innovative and reflective of nothing our community has seen before.
Renegade Theatre Company will be home to the Renegade Conservatory where young actors ranging from age 8 to 25 can receive professional-level conservatory training taught by current working artists from our community and beyond. The Conservatory will offer classes, workshops, skill-building sessions (both private and group) and productions to help the young actor hone their skills in acting, singing, dancing and musical theatre. Young people will be inspired, empowered, and develop a lifelong love of the arts when they experience the energy of our Conservatory program and participate in our classes, shows and outreach programs. They will also share the stage, many times, with adult actors and working artists. As an actor that has trained at RTC, they will develop a “Risk-Fail-Risk Again” outlook on art; never letting any mistake, obstacle or closed door deter them, but letting it energize them to train harder, be better and dream bigger.
Renegade Theatre Company will have working artists serve as the trainers of our students. We believe in teaching from experience.
Renegade Theatre Company will function as a safe haven for many students and a developmental/experimental ground for working artists. We will help build passionate and empathetic citizen-artists who create and embrace vulnerable and honest work, while developing dignity, self-confidence, strong public speaking skills and the yearning to collaborate with others to help make the world a brighter place.
Renegade Theatre Company will work its way into the hearts of its students and audiences and they will see themselves and their humanity in the stories we tell and the classes we teach and have a lifelong relationship with this theatre.
Renegade Theatre Company will be a source of civic pride, the theatre that many, especially young people, will point at and say “That’s my theatre.”
Renegade Theatre Company will promote access to the arts for families who do not have regular access due to economic, cultural, or other barriers. We will be a place of empowerment for youth and young artists, especially in underserved environments.
